It is
with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Life member Walt
Lake. Walt joined Pioneer in 1966 and was an active member who was
always at our monthly meetings. We will miss you Walt as a member but
more importantly as a good person. The following is the notice from
the Democrat & Chronicle.
Lake, Walter G.
Rochester: Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at age 81, surrounded by the love of
his life, Kelly Gangemi and her family. Predeceased by his parents, Herbert
and Anna Lake; brother Arthur; his beagle Jake, who died on Christmas. He is
survived by his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Lake; best friends, Marty Leggo and
Caesar DeLorenzo; God child, Kathy Leggo Mintz.
Walter was a 1947 graduate of Edison Tech and had recently attended his 61st
reunion. He was an Army veteran and a retired bricklayer, with BAC Local #3.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Walt belonged to the Pioneer Beagle Club and
NRA. He loved to be by the water and was a member of the Port Bay Assoc. He
was a frequent customer at Mt. Read Diner for many years.

For Sale
Tritronics 70 (minus collar)
I have for sale a less than one year
old tri tronics classic 70 with transmitter plus the collar and
a transmitter charger. This is one of tri tronics newer models and will
train or break one dog at a time with 6 different levels of stimulation. My
price is $50.00 all you need to complete the unit is to order the
appropriate shock collar from any place that sells tri tronics. A new
classic 70 shock collar sells for around $139.95 and your will be complete
and almost new. So for less than $200.00 you'll have a great unit for
breaking hounds on deer or teaching them to come on command. I am keeping
the previous collar for a upgraded multi dog unit I just purchased a classic
70 exp. There is nothing wrong with the unit I am selling. It is important
to note the collars themselves are guaranteed waterproof. It will come with
a carry case and instructional video (DVD).
